Glenys A. Babcock, PhD, President

For more than 20 years, Glenys has provided research and analysis to preeminent public, private and not-for-profit organisations. Her areas of policy expertise include: conflict resolution and prevention, democratization, DR Congo, Sri Lanka and Liberia.

Glenys has served as a Consultant to many organizations, including the World Bank, RAND Corporation, and Intelligence Secretariat of Canada's Privy Council Office. She was formerly Scholar in Residence at the Canadian Institute of International Affairs, Director of The Titan Group for Public Policy Analysis, and Vice President, Ipsos Reid Public Affairs.

She holds a PhD and MPhil in public policy analysis, an MA and BA in international relations, and a BA in math. MORE

   
Guy Charlton, PhD, JD, Vice President
Guy is a Lecturer in jurisprudence and comparative politics at the University of Auckland in New Zealand, and a member of the New Zealand Institute of International Relations. Guy has also taught comparative foreign policy, international relations theory, international law and American Indian Law at universities in New Zealand, Canada and the United States. His current academic research focuses on comparative aboriginal law.

Previously, Guy was a Managing Partner with the Charlton & Morgan Law Firm, Board Chair and Corporate Counsel for the Tech Financial Corporation, counsel for a US Indian Tribe, and an elected City Alderman in Wisconsin. Guy holds a PhD in law, and an MA and BA in International Relations.
   

 

Salim Binbrek, M.S.Sc., Secretary of the Board
Salim has worked as a researcher and policy analyst in the UK for the Trans-national Crisis Project, Phoenix Think Tank, and International Council on Security and Development, and has also worked for the BBC World Service Trust. His work has focused on Yemen, Afghanistan, Somalia, Tanzania, and Pakistan, specializing in security, conflict, and development issues.

Salim oversees Pragmora's Research Associates. He holds a Master's degree in International Development from the University of Amsterdam, speaks Arabic and Portuguese, and currently lives in Toronto.

   

Adam Jackson, LLB, Treasurer
Adam works in corporate finance with Linklaters global law firm in London and Moscow. Adam has a strong interest in conflict resolution and peace issues. In 2006, he worked for the United Nations in New York where he reviewed UN peace agreements and associated U.N. resolutions, and assisted with the development of UNPeacemaker, an online support tool for peacemakers and mediators.

Adam holds a law degree from the University of Western Ontario and an MSc from the London School of Economics in Anthropology and Law.

   

Anna Little

Anna Little, M.A.
Anna's interest in security and diplomacy is evidenced by the various positions she has held in recent years, including Political Section Intern with the Mission of Canada to the European Union (Brussels), Young Professional International Intern with the Atlantic Treaty Association (Copenhagen), and Research Assistant with the Conflict Research Unit at the Netherlands Institute of International Relations. She sits on the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Council of Canada, and regularly attends international conferences on peace and security issues.

Anna holds an MA in political science from Leiden University in the Netherlands. She is fluent in French, German, and English. Recent travels have taken Anna to Japan and China.
