Pragmora's volunteer Research Associates are strong researchers who are passionate about building peace and about about making a real difference in the world.
Typically, each Research Associates focuses on one specific conflict. They prepare detailed timelines of the history of a conflict, and clear analysis of the key issues and key players in the conflict. All information produced is put through a rigorous vetting process with external experts.

As an Intern with Pragmora, Loes undertook extensive research and policy analysis on the conflict in Pakistan, and was an active member of the Pragmora Peace Action Team Planning Committee.
Loes speaks Dutch, English, French, German and Italian (in varying degrees). She has lived in Syria and South Africa, as well as the Netherlands and Canada, and plans to be in Pakistan in 2011 to undertake on-the-ground research to complete her M.Sc. in International Development Studies at Wageningen University in The Netherlands.
